If It Ain't Got That Swing...

This past Sunday I really wanted to try out a skirt that I don't usually make. I've been seeing a lot of circle skirts being worn online, and I was even contacted to make 3 different ones. I've never really made circle skirts for me to wear because of my small frame. A circle maxi skirt is a LOT of fabric to wear on someone my size. Then, I remembered the half circle skirt. It was the perfect choice. A lot of volume and fullness, but not as much fabric as using a full circle. I absolutely LOVE how these skirts turned out! I made Bug's skirt a full circle skirt because I had enough left over fabric to do so, and I also just wanted to see this gorgeous print in a full circle skirt as well. I thought that we would be wearing orange tops with brown accessories, but Beauty Bug had another idea in mind for what she would wear. She was adamant about wearing pink. Just pink. She didn't want any accessories, just that pink shirt. As shocked as I was, I was also impressed. She's 3 and she's already getting her sense of style. I can't wait to see how it develops. <3
